What is your approach to preparing a proposal?
As a business professional, we often cringe at the thought of putting together a proposal for new business. We all understand how vital they are to our business, but that doesn’t making it any easier. Creating these proposals takes time, resources and prefect execution, some of which are extremely limited in our businesses.
So, what are the keys to a compelling proposal? You certainly don’t want to assemble a document full of stock text and random costs estimates. To be effective, you must answer a few key questions for the perspective client:
- Who are we.
- What are we going to do for you.
- Why you company.
- How much and when will it be delivered.
Answers to these questions become the basis of a compelling proposal. Good solid answers go a long way toward convincing the prospect that you are the right team for the tasks at hand.
